Event Genius Pay reaches Africa as Afro Nation Ghana goes cashless

Europe’s biggest urban music beach festival is crossing the Atlantic for the first Afro Nation Ghana in Accra. Welcoming 15,000 partygoers to the striking Laboma Beach, the festival will celebrate a weekend of afro beats, hip hop, rnb, dancehall and bashment in the blissful summer sun.

Having already partnered up with various festivals and events across Europe and Asia, we’re excited to take our award-winning Event Genius Pay technology to Africa for the very first time. Utilising our innovative RFID technology, fans will be able to pre-purchase credit to pay for food, drink and merchandise at the festival with a simple tap. Our cashless technology provides a seamless experience for fans, shortening queues into the festival and at bars, whilst any unspent credits can be claimed back after the festival ends. Event Genius’ consumer analytics will provide rich insights into customer spending habits and behaviours to continue to provide fans with the best experience for years to come.

Afro Nation Ghana will enjoy the use of a white label box-office, powered by Event Genius, and the Ticket Arena website to promote the event, drive ticket sales and allow festival goers to top up their wristbands in advance. Access control for the festival will be managed via our app - Entry Genius - rounding out a truly robust end-to-end festival platform.
