This Week’s Industry News: 24/03/2017

With a huge focus on secondary ticketing sites and online touting, it’s been a pretty interesting week in the ticketing and events sector. Here’s some of the best of what’s been written this week:

• FanFair alliance released a ten-step guide to beating online ticket touts, get the guide here and share online with a #ToutsOut hashtag.

• Speaking of secondary sellers and online touting, this week Viagogo have been labelled ‘Shady’ after refusing to appear before the UK Government’s Culture, Media and Sport committee.

• In fact, this week the argument has gotten so bad that Google’s PPC advertising has been drawn into the row too.

• Elsewhere, the BBC have outlined the size of the e-Sports events market - Spoiler Alert! – it’s massive.
